All inclusive 2 Day Oil Painting Experience

Workshop Details:

Workshop runs from 9am-1pm, Friday and Saturday.

Coffee, Mimosas and an alfresco Luncheon will be provided. $550 per person, all supplies are included.

This is an intimate workshop - class size limited to 8-10 people. All skill levels are welcome. This workshop experience will be tailored to your individual needs.

Additional Information:

This workshop will be in plein air on Marys Creek in Benbrook Texas. Painting stations will be set up for you, along with all needed supplies. This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of painting in oil and techniques of painting in plein air, along with proper preparation, composition creation, color mixing and sketching. You will paint from life to explore the how the elements around you, things such as light, change while in plein air.

Each day there will be discussion and application of the principles and elements of design. Discussion and time viewing other artists work will further solidify your knowledge and add a deep communal sense to your painting experience.

Come enjoy this two day Plein Air painting workshop experience in the moving beauty of Texas with new friends and new thoughts. Explore new ways of reaching your design ideas with Laert and Kinsey as they guide you in their unique approach to creating impressionistic oil paintings.

Workshop Policies

• Payment in full must be made to secure place in class. Reservations are accepted in the order they are received. The waitlist will be created in order of requests received after the workshop has been sold out.

• If there is a cancellation of the workshop and it is not rescheduled or changed by Studio Sabka, the workshop is fully refunded.

• Studio Sabka reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops for future dates due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen reasons or circumstances.

• If the workshop dates are changed or rescheduled, Studio Sabka reserves the right to notify students and instructor of date changes without penalties or refunds. If a student cannot attend a rescheduled workshop, their registration will be forwarded to a future Studio Sabka workshop. Full refunds will be determined on a case by case basis.

• There are no refunds for no-shows, schedule changes, medical conditions, sicknesses, travel cancellations, flight delays or withdrawals. Studio Sabka reserves the right to credit the student monies for other workshops based on these unforeseen circumstances on a case by case basis.

Studio Sabka is pleased to announce the unveiling of Coupl-ism: Love, Art & Modern Collaboration, a captivating exhibition by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Laert and Kinsey Aleksi. This exclusive show, which opens on May 10th, 2025, invites guests to experience the powerful synergy of two artists in love, as they push the envelope of collaborative artwork into the most intimate and vulnerable places, creating a body of work that is both astonishing in technique and magnitude.


In Coupl-ism, the Aleksis present a collection that explores a loose, impressionistic style, creating dynamic works that range from lush florals to mystic skies, from deep seas to striking portraits. Each piece represents not just a week in the life of a married couple, but an exploration of love, humor, passion, and the ever-changing nature of art itself. The collaboration between Laert and Kinsey is both intimate and ambitious, offering a rare glimpse into the heart of their artistic process and personal journey. At 6:00 PM, join Laert and Kinsey Aleksi for an insightful Artist Talk, where they will share the story behind Coupl-ism, the challenges and joys of creating side by side, the progression of their collaborative work and their unbelievable goal of 1,000 paintings together. This intimate conversation offers a deeper understanding of their creative journey and the unique dynamics of their partnership.

What began as a spontaneous Valentine's Day dare has grown into an extraordinary artistic adventure. Laert Aleksi Xhaferi, a renowned classical artist and teacher, and his wife, Kinsey Aleksi, embarked on a challenge initially coined “52 Weeks 52 Quickies” to create one painting each week—together—on a single canvas. Their goal was simple: to push the boundaries of creativity while strengthening their bond through art. The result? A striking body of work that spans a multitude of styles, subjects, and techniques, captured with raw emotion and quick wit.

“I never imagined I could paint with someone else. Allowing someone into your creative space is scary and exhilarating. Little did I know that it would open the door to deep understanding and togetherness, while pushing our individual creativity beyond the limits over and over,” says Kinsey Aleksi.

Together, they are rewriting the rules with the force of their art and one-of-a-kind process, combining technical prowess with deep emotional resonance. Coupl-ism is a rare opportunity to witness the evolution of 52 Weeks 52 Quickies, where spontaneity and meticulous technique coalesce to form a body of work unlike anything seen before.
